Grade 2 Walked for Water and quadrupled their donation goal!

Grade 2 students were participating in a Walk for Water Walk-a-Thon fundraising event. They were walking around the school track (400 m) while carrying their backpacks. The goal was to have them experience what it’s like to have to walk to retrieve clean water every day. On average it’s about 6km a day. Globally, 1 in 9 people do not have access to clean water. In total, the students walked 198.8 km and the sponsors paid for each lap! Children were collecting the money for Vann For Livet at Norwegian Red Cross and raised nearly 25 000 kroner! Well-done!
