Last Friday and Saturday, ISS hosted the Stavanger Viking Cup. It was two days filled with fierce competition, sportsmanship and camaraderie, showcasing the incredible talent of our Middle School athletes.
In the football tournament, our Middle School boys faced off against some formidable opponents, including the ISA Wolves (International School of Aberdeen) and two local clubs, Sunde and Randaberg. The matches were intense, and our boys truly gave it their all on the field, representing our school with pride. Meanwhile, on the volleyball court, our Middle School girls displayed their skills and teamwork in a competition against the ISA Wolves (International School of Aberdeen) and teams from the local volleyball club, KFUM.
A massive round of applause and congratulations goes out to all the young athletes from all the teams who participated. Your hard work, determination, and sportsmanship made the Stavanger Viking Cup an unforgettable event. We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the coaches who dedicated their time and expertise to prepare the teams, as well as to the High School student referees who ensured fair play throughout the tournament. Last but certainly not least, we want to give a big shout-out to our Athletics Director, Mr. Ric Floyd, for his outstanding organization of the Stavanger Viking Cup.
Let’s continue to cheer on our young athletes and look forward to even more incredible sports events in the future. The Stavanger Viking Cup has set the bar high, and we can’t wait to see what the next edition will bring!
